We are a team of diverse people from around the globe who share a common vision of creating sustainable development processes in our communities. Our areas of expertise exist in the field of business, geography, the political economy, anthropology, sociology, English language and literature and environmental science.
After working together at the University of Cape Town, focusing on how to facilitate sustainable development processes in the South African context, Annika and two other PhD students from South Africa and Zimbabwe decided to put some of their ideas into practice by founding a social business called the Editing Enterprise.
Annika drives the business development activities for the Editing Enterprise in Germany. After studying English and geography, she currently works as a research assistant at Marburg University where she focuses on her PhD research on sustainability standards in the South African tourism industry. Annika has been a visiting researcher at the University of Cape Town and the University of Manchester and has published several academic articles and book chapters. With the Editing Enterprise, Annika is working together with a number of PhD and graduate students, as well as postdoc fellows from South Africa.
